In this century it is not easy to get pregnant naturally since a lot of women face problems from a very early age like polycystic ovary or more complex problems like fibroids which make it difficult to conceive. Numerous reasons are responsible for the infertility of a woman among which the physical problems and improper balance of hormone as well as dietary irregularities are some of the prime causes. Though medical science has various treatments to counter this situation, there are also some natural remedies that can prove much helpful.  Infertility is a rising problem with one out every five women being infertile and unable to conceive a child. Now, it is difficult but not impossible to reverse fertility, and there are some strict don’ts if you are willing to be a mother. In this highly polluted environment that we live in, there are some precautions that you must abide by for a safe,natural pregnancy.

The Don’ts:

Smoking: Consuming tobacco in the form of cigarettes can cause profound damages to your reproductive system. It causes an imbalance of the hormones in your body and can also damage the fetus if you smoke incessantly during pregnancy. So it best advised to not smoke at all when you want to conceive a child or during pregnancy because it can also lead to unwanted miscarriages.


Alcohol: Consumption of alcohol can equally cause an imbalance in the body. When you are pregnant or when you plan to conceive a child, you must make sure that you follow a proper diet which is rich in carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Consuming alcohol can tamper with the bloodstream which is linked directly to the fetus. The high amount of alcohol in the blood system can affect your fertility as well.


Drugs: Drugs like marijuana and cocaine can affect pregnancy since it directly affects the fertility of a woman and in case you are already pregnant the toxins can stop the baby from reducing the supply of oxygen to the fetus. The same is in case of recreational drugs like marijuana, but studies are still inconclusive. The carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide in the bloodstreamreduce the supply of oxygen and can also cause miscarriage or permanent damage to the fetus.

Hazardous Chemicals: Fertility is affected by the surrounding you live in and the lifestyle you maintain. You surrounding needs to be healthy, and you have to avoid being exposed to harmful chemicals. Examples of such substances are household chemicals, plastic water bottles, and cosmetic and beauty products, etc. You must also keep in mind that you are not subjected to the severe environmental pollution or to passive smoking.

No caffeine: Caffeine is a stimulant and also a diuretic, and it increases the blood pressure and heart rate. Caffeine can easily cross the placenta which is not good for an embryo or a fetus. An intake of large amounts of caffeine in the form of coffee can often lead to miscarriages. So it is a strict no if you are trying to get pregnant naturally.
